Our company through the years:

  • 1947 : JORET, founder and president, acquires “OMNIUM DE MATERIEL INDUSTRIEL ET AGRICOLE”, an enterprise business specialising in trade of farming equipment.
  • 1958 : Mass production starts through a first industrial production unit. During this period, the name “OMNIUM DE MATERIEL INDUSTRIEL ET AGRICOLE” becomes “OMIA” (using the initials).
  • 1968 : OMIA enters the field of automobile repairs by getting involved in the manufacturing of ventilation and heating equipment for the application of paint on automobiles. Within a few years, OMIA becomes the first supplier on the French market and the second supplier on the European market.
  • 1976 : Creation of a subsidiary, called SECOMAT (“Société Européenne de Construction de Matériel Aéraulique et Thermique”), aimed at the industrial sector (railways, shipyards, aeronautics…) and manufacturing special products such as large paint booths, shot blasting booths, powder paint booths, etc. Later, SECOMAT is acquired by OMIA to create a single entity.
  • 1997 : In January, Annie ENIXON takes over the management of OMIA Company. A reorganization and development plan is implemented paired with a very important investment plan. As a result, the Company turnover increases 1.5 times and the Company expends its activity in the service sector. OMIA exports its products in more than fifty countries.
  • 2004 : OMIA transfers its operations to accommodate its growth and acquires a new machine tool.
  • 2007 : Sigismond HAGEMEIJER takes over the management of OMIA Company. His main objective is to develop international sales and customer services.
