Cellule Twin Repair

- Double station cell // Twin Repair-

 Application

  • Double smart repair cell, intended for the treatment of urban shocks in automobile bodywork.

Description

  • Equipped workstation able to receive 2 vehicles on which alternately preparation work (sanding, puttying, infrared drying) for spray application work (primers, paint and varnish) and drying by hot air convection is carried out.
  • Because of the different applications and in order to comply with the regulations, this equipment was designed and built on the technical basis of a paint booth with additional equipment for tooling and energy distribution allowing sanding, grinding and infrared drying by portal or by trolley.

The unit is therefore equipped with a single ventilation device allowing :

Preparation phase :

  • The 2 zones are ventilated at half-flow.
  • Painting is prohibited (switching off of the specific compressed air network for painting).

Primer or finish paint phase :

  • Only one of the 2 cells is then ventilated with the entire air flow from the ventilation unit.
  • Infrared drying is then switched off over the entire area.
  • Sanding and grinding operations are also impossible.

Drying phase :

  • The 2 zones are ventilated at half-flow
  • Painting is not permitted
  • The 2 stations are ventilated for a drying cycle by hot air convection with recycling at 60°C.
  • Infrared drying is then switched off over the entire area.
  • Sanding and grinding operations are also impossible.
  • Painting is not permitted.
  • Hot air drying is also possible (without infrared), allowing larger areas to be dried than with infrared alone.

Advantages

  • Option to dry 2 vehicles during the same drying cycle
  • Operator comfort and safety
  • Reduction of vehicle return times to customers
